Wrongly Accused in Mexico?

Bilingual criminal defense for foreigners facing charges anywhere in Mexico.

You or your loved one are far from home, scared and confused by an unfamiliar legal system.

I am a Mexican Human Rights Defender and Criminal Defense Attorney with international training, dedicated to protecting foreigners unjustly accused in Mexico.

Is Your Loved One in a Mexican Prison?

I guide families step by step until we bring them home.

The uncertainty of having a family member behind bars in a foreign country is overwhelming.

I combine advanced litigation techniques, human rights advocacy and constant communication with the family to build a strong defense and restore peace.

Who I Defend

Foreigners facing criminal charges in Mexico, at any stage of the process.

  • Individuals arrested while traveling or living in Mexico

  • Tourists and expats accused of serious crimes

  • Defendants in pre-trial detention

  • Appeals and amparo (similar to habeas corpus) in complex cases

Criminal Defense Services

My focus is clear: strategic, honest and human-rights-oriented defense for foreigners and their families.

Representation from the first hearing through trial, with a focus on proving innocence and exposing procedural violations.

Appeals & Amparo (Habeas Corpus Equivalent)

Challenging unjust convictions, excessive sentences or violations of fundamental rights at higher courts.

Human Rights & Prison Conditions

Protection against abuse, inhumane treatment and violations of constitutional rights while in custody.

Support for Families Abroad

Clear updates, documentation, coordination with consulates and psychologists, so the family is never in the dark.

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, I can establish communication with your loved one within 24–48 hours after being formally retained, depending on the rules and logistics of the specific prison.

The first step is a free video consultation with you or your family, where I review the basic facts of the case and obtain the necessary information and authorizations.

From there, I immediately begin the process of arranging an in-person visit or authorized call, so that your loved one knows they have a dedicated defense lawyer working for them and an ally who speaks both English and Spanish.

Yes. I represent foreigners facing criminal charges anywhere in Mexico, not only in the Riviera Maya.

Although I am based in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, my practice is focused on defending foreigners who have been arrested, are in pre-trial detention, or are already serving a sentence in different parts of the country.

When a case is outside my immediate area, I coordinate travel and local court logistics in advance, so you are fully informed about how representation will work and what to expect at each stage of the process.

Initial case review and strategy: A fixed fee for analyzing the case file, evidence, and procedural history, and for designing a defense plan.

Active defense and hearings: A stage-based or fixed fee that covers court appearances, motions, and ongoing work during the trial or legal proceedings.

Appeals or amparo (habeas corpus equivalent): Separate fees if additional, higher-court actions are needed.

Before you hire me, we will go over the proposed fees in detail, including what is included, possible extra costs (such as expert reports or translations), and payment options. There are no hidden charges, and you will receive regular updates on the progress of your case.

Yes. When a foreign citizen is facing criminal charges in Mexico, coordination with the consulate or embassy is often very important.

  • Inform your consulate or embassy about your situation (with your authorization).

  • Share key procedural information and documentation with consular officials.

  • Work together with consular staff to address issues such as conditions of detention, access to medical or psychological support, and communication with your family abroad.
  • My goal is that your family is never left in the dark and that all available institutional support—legal and consular—is used to protect your rights and dignity throughout the process.
